India Post Assigns Additional Charge to Senior Postal Officers in Tamil Nadu Circle
New Delhi, July 20, 2026: The Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, Government of India, has issued an order assigning additional charge to two senior Indian Postal Service (IPoS) officers to ensure the smooth functioning of key administrative positions in the Tamil Nadu Circle.

As per Order No. F. No. R-01/1/2026-SPG-DOP, dated 20 July 2026, the Competent Authority has approved the following arrangements with immediate effect:
Additional Charge of CPMG, Tamil Nadu Circle
Ms. B.P. Sridevi, Chief Postmaster General (CPMG), Andhra Pradesh Circle, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Chief Postmaster General, Tamil Nadu Circle. She will continue to perform her existing duties while holding the additional responsibility without any extra remuneration. The arrangement will remain in force until a regular incumbent assumes the post or until further orders are issued.
Additional Charge of PMG, Chennai City Region
Shri A. Saravanan, Postmaster General (PMG), Western Region, Tamil Nadu Circle, Coimbatore, has been assigned the additional charge of PMG, Chennai City Region. He will discharge these additional responsibilities alongside his current duties without receiving any extra remuneration. The order takes immediate effect and will continue until a regular appointment is made or further instructions are issued.
The order has been signed by Ms. Aarti Verma, Director (Staff), Department of Posts, and copies have been circulated to all concerned authorities, including the Postal Services Board, all Chief Postmasters General, CEPT Mysore, RAKNPA Ghaziabad, and other senior offices.
These temporary arrangements have been made to ensure uninterrupted administrative leadership and efficient functioning of postal operations in the Tamil Nadu Circle until regular appointments are finalized.
